Your Body, God's Plan
More changes occur in a child's body and brain during puberty than any other time in their lives. Puberty also marks the beginning of big changes in their relationships with parents and other children of the opposite sex. It's a wonderful and exhilarating time, because a child is finally becoming an adult, but it can be a stressful and overwhelming time, for everyone (mom and dad too!).
Your Body, God's Plan has been designed to give children all the information they need to understand exactly what is happening to their bodies during the years of adolescence - and why God planned it to happen just that way.
In addition to sensitively teaching children about the male and female anatomies significant time is spent addressing the spiritual issues related to human sexuality.
Students will learn:
- How girl's and boy's bodies are different
- The changes that puberty brings
- How a woman gets pregnant
- How a baby is born
- Why God wants people to save sex for marriage
Children need to understand that their sexual natures are beautiful and exciting gifts from God. Gifts that He wants them to understand and appreciate. Participating in Your Body, God's Plan with a parent will help preteens ready themselves for coming physical changes, equip them to handle the sexual pressures that are sure to come throughout their lives, and give them a better understanding of God's perfect design for sex.
By bringing your son or daughter to this class you are communicating with them your willingness to discuss these important issues of life. If you want to be the primary sex educator of your child, rather than leaving that to the kids in the locker room, then please consider participating in this unique program.
