Living a God-Centered Life: EWO Women's Ministry 2009-2010
"That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Philippians 2:15
Our team has been praying and planning for the year ahead, always with this focus
in mind: to encourage women to grow in the knowledge of God, to gain spiritual understanding, to walk
in a manner that pleases God, and to bear fruit in every good work (Col. 1:9–10). To that end we have adopted the motto "Living a God-Centered Life" as our theme for the year.
So here’s what’s planned for this year—first are all the EWO events and ministries, followed by
community events happening in our area. Mark your calendar, gather up some friends, and join in!

Hoping for Something Better (Refusing to Settle for Life as Usual)
Written by Nancy Guthrie. Do you ever wrestle with a nagging sense of disappointment that life isn’t what you thought it would be? That you aren’t who you wanted to be? That faith seems more complicated than it should be? Do you find yourself longing for something better? As Nancy Guthrie shows us in this 11 week journey through the book of Hebrews, there is something better. Join us as we apply the ancient truths of Hebrews to our very real needs of today. “God has planned something better for us.” Hebrews 11:40

Precept Upon Precept Inductive Study: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
2 Kings 21-25, 2 Chronicles 33-36 & Zephaniah—Kings and Prophets Course # 10. In this last course of our Kings and Prophets Series, you’ll see worsening religious and political conditions in Judah. The final chapters of 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles introduce us to the last kings of Judah—one, the best since King David (“the Good”), the other, the worst Judah ever had (“the Bad”). When God brings the Babylonians in to judge Judah and Jerusalem for their sins, everything gets really “Ugly.” Study hard and you’ll learn how God can keep you when your life combines “the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”
Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 PM, beginning January 14 | Led by Diane Fahrenkrug (963-1042 ) | Meets in room 170 Suggested book donation: $12 | Nine weeks | No childcare available
